Inspiring young adults to go into STEM fields

Mission Statement

The mission of the Corporation shall be to operate as an educational organization for the purpose of inspiring young people to be science and technology leader, by engaging them in exciting mentor based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities, including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.

Team Storm 4107, the only FRC team in the Harrison County School District, is located in Gulfport, Mississippi. The team received their permanent FRC team number on October 20, 2011.

The team provides students of West Harrison High School, as well other schools such as Harrison Central, with experiences they can use in their college and career. It also has exposed the community of Harrison County School District to FIRST. Team Storm 4107 has a team of highly skilled mentors to support and help the students. Because of this program, students have gained interest in degrees and careers in STEM.

The team also encourages young kids to join FIRST robotics by volunteering our time to mentor VEX teams and assist in tournaments. Team Storm's community outreach efforts not only have a positive effect on the community, but it also helps its students become more interested in helping others, as well as gain experiences needed for college.
